Summer School Plant Genomics and Bioinformatics:
Special Focus:
Plant Phenotyping and Data Analyses
The fundamental idea of ETNA is to build a network on plant genome research and bioinformatics in Europe. ETNA organises a yearly summer school course pursuing the training aspect, the exchange of ideas and the creation of an active and living network between European scientists, research organisations and research programmes. The planned ETNA courses will combine the latest theoretical knowledge with practical lessons.
The target group for the courses is PhD students and postdocs with a maximum of six years work experience. During the courses 16 young researchers will be given the chance to work together with experts on the chosen focus.
The special focus of the 2009 summer school course is plant phenotyping and the necessary data analysis (from raw data to publishable results). Please feel free to indicate your general interest in participating to the summer course by sending an email to the head of the managing office of the German plant genomic research programme GABI, Dr. Dirk Büssis: buessis@mpimp-golm.mpg.de
The special focus of the summer school course in September 2006 is metabolite profiling and the necessary data analysis (from raw data to publishable results). Please feel free to indicate your general interest in participating at the summer course by sending an email to the head of the German plant genomic research program GABI, Dr. Jens Freitag: buessis@mpimp-golm.mpg.de
The local organiser is the Jülich Research Centre a member institution of the European Plant Science Organisation (EPSO).
ETNA is a training activity supported by the European Commission’s Sixth Framework Programme. |
